Eshwarappa alleged that despite chief minister Siddaramaiah promising to recompense the family for their loss, govt has not provided any compensation yet.
"I spoke to the authorities concerned and also discussed the issue with Shivamogga DC Gurudatta Hegde. They were doubtful about the compensation," he claimed.
Shivamogga MLA SN Channabasappa also met the CM in this regard. "If govt fails to provide the compensation of Rs 25 lakh to the family by Sept 20, we will launch a Jail Bharo protest," he said.
Kavitha thanked Eshwarappa for providing financial assistance and said the former DCM had visited their residence after Chandrashekharan's death and provided aid.
