Pilibhit: Five technical railway staff members from the Northeastern Railway’s Gorakhpur headquarters were allegedly beaten by Govt Railway Police (GRP) constables at Pilibhit junction on Tuesday.

Kulshreshtha said two GRP constables, Sudhir Patel and Sandesh Yadav, initially barged into the camping coach and demanded the team to cook egg curry and other dishes for them. When the team members expressed their inability to comply with this order, the officers, later joined by three more colleagues, assaulted the staff with sticks, causing them severe internal injuries.
