Ajmer: Speaking at a gathering in Ganahera village of Pushkar, where he had come to inspect a Viksit Bharat Sanklap Yatra (VBSY) camp, chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday said he had directed the power department to provide sufficient electricity for crops during the Rabi season.
“I have also asked the central minister to purchase millets of Rajasthan for other states,” he added.
Sharma before starting his speech asked the gathering to take a pledge for coming out of the mentality of slavery, to make the country united, to feel proud of their culture, and to do their duties as a citizen. “The Prime Minister has a great place in his heart for farmers, for women, for workers and for youth, and therefore he has initiated such schemes which are directly providing benefit to these groups,” he said.
“We will talk to different groups of farmers who are taking up organic farming and in the coming days we will use drone technology to directly provide benefits to farmers,” Sharma said.
Appealing to people to take benefit of the government schemes, he said that the Prime Minister wants all the schemes to reach the grassroots. He said that the VBSY camps have taken the shape of a ‘jan andolan’ (people’s movement).
Slamming the opposition Congress, he said that out of the 19 recruitment exams held under its government, the papers of 17 were leaked. “We promised that when we come into power we will investigate this and now an SIT has been constituted to investigate all these paper leaks,” he said. “Now, the mafia involved in paper leaks will come to know what is the result of such crimes.”
The chief minister said that Rajasthan is known for its culture and honour and not for crimes. “Rajasthan is not the land of criminals, and therefore we will not tolerance any organized crime in the state,” he said.
He also said that his government will have zero tolerance for corruption. “There was corruption in Indra Rasoi (scheme) and therefore we will investigate that corruption,” he said, adding that now through the Annapurna Yojana people will get khichda and millet rotis.
