Zonal office flooded after 28mm of rain in Naroda

Ahmedabad: Several city areas including Naroda, Nikol, Odhav, and Viratnagar, received light rain around noon on Tuesday. Naroda received the highest 28.5mm rain, causing rainwater to accumulate in the basement of the north zone's zonal office in the Memco area. Nikol recorded 18mm, Viratnagar 14mm, Odhav 13.5mm, Memco 10.5mm, and Kotarpur 7.5mm of rain.The city recorded an average rainfall of 4.03mm.
As of 4pm on Sep 10, the level of the Vasna Barrage was at 130.75 feet. The Narmada Canal received an inflow of 9,558 cusecs of water. Three gates of the Vasna Barrage were opened up to two feet, with an outflow of 5,298 cusecs of water from the river.
