Meeting today to discuss AMC oppn leader issue

Ahmedabad: In the 2021 Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) elections, 24 Congress councillors were elected, and Shehzadkhan Pathan was appointed the leader of the opposition a year later, with an agreement to rotate the position annually. However, this arrangement was not followed, leading to discontent in one faction of the party.
Congress has decided to assess the opinion of its councillors regarding the potential replacement.If necessary, an election will be held. The election committee of the Gujarat Congress will convene at the party's state office at 2:30pm on Tuesday. Sources suggest it is unlikely a final resolution will be reached on the same day. tnn
