City gets 4mm rain, max temp drops by 2°C
Ahmedabad: On Tuesday, the city received 4mm of rainfall, primarily in the afternoon hours. It caught many commuters unawares, who scurried for cover from light rains in almost all western city areas. Across Gujarat, several regions received light to heavy rainfall. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the city and district may receive light to moderate rains on Wednesday.

Rains and cloudy weather reduced the maximum temperature to 32 degrees celsius from 34 degrees on Monday.
The IMD forecast indicated chances of heavy rains in parts of Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, and Valsad, and light to moderate thunderstorms in other parts of the state.
From Thursday onwards, the rain intensity may get reduced in the state, indicated the forecast. On Tuesday, the state had a monsoon trough, an offshore trough, and a cyclonic circulation over south Gujarat.
In all, 94 talukas received 1mm or more rains, with Umarpada, Surat receiving the highest at 255mm rains till 8pm, followed by Sagbara, Narmada (77 mm) and Khergam, Navsari (70 mm) among others.
