UP man booked for ‘obscene’ post on Vinesh Phogat
A 30-year-old man was booked in Aligarh for making objectionable comments about wrestler Vinesh Phogat on social media. The police registered the case following a complaint by Dharmveer Singh, who also provided a screenshot. The accused, Vishal Varshney, was charged under IPC section 294 and section 67 of the IT Act. Authorities are investigating the matter.

Deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Amrit Jain said, “Investigation is ongoing in the matter and action will be taken accordingly.”
