Tripura launches apps to monitor anganwadis, govt scheme delivery
Agartala: Tripura govt has launched two separate geo-tagging-enabled mobile apps to monitor the activities of anganwadi centres and services being extended to the beneficiaries of various govt schemes, especially women and children, social welfare minister Tinku Roy said on Friday.
The application has been developed indigenously to streamline the attendance of anganwadi workers and service delivery in rural communities.

It can only be accessed after entering the premises of the anganwadi centres.
Stating that the Centre has launched a similar app to monitor the functioning of anganwadis, Roy said, “The difference between the centrally launched application and ours lies in the geo tagging feature. Anganwadi workers had long enjoyed the privilege of filing daily reports in a central application from anywhere, which empowered them to manipulate the timing of the centre’s operations.”
More than four lakh children are enrolled in 10,000 anganwadi centres across the state.
