Swara Bhaskar is an Indian actress who works in the Hindi film industry. Bhaskar made her film debut with a supporting role in the 2009 drama Madholal Keep Walking. She rose to fame for her supporting role of a bride-to-be in the commercially successful romantic comedy Tanu Weds Manu (2011). She received widespread acclaim for portraying an aggressive lover in the critically acclaimed romantic drama Raanjhanaa (2013). In 2013, she played the lead role in Listen... Amaya. She then played supporting roles in the romantic comedy Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015) and the romantic drama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015). Her first major starring role came in the comedy drama Nil Battey Sannata (2016).
