Diksha Dagar narrowly made the cut at the KPMG Women's Irish Open following a crucial birdie on the Par-5 17th hole during her second round. The Indian golfer, who had a 1-over round on the second day, ended up even par for the tournament, allowing her to continue into the weekend in tied-55th place.
Dagar started with a 1-under 72 on the first day but encountered challenges on the second day at Carton House's O'Meara Course.

She recorded two bogeys on the Par-5 fourth and eighth holes, putting her 2-over for the front nine. By then, she was 1-over for the tournament. However, a pivotal birdie on the 17th hole brought her back to even par across the two rounds, enabling her to make the cut.
Among the other Indian participants, Pranavi Urs shot rounds of 73 and 74 but missed the cut by just one shot. Tvesa Malik, with rounds of 76 and 78, and Ridhima Dilawari, who scored 79 and 76, both missed the cut by a wider margin.
Ursula Wikstrom led the field at the halfway stage, firing consecutive rounds of 68 to sit at 10-under-par. Wikstrom, one of three co-leaders after the first 18 holes, began her second round with a bogey but quickly recovered. She made back-to-back birdies on the 12th and 13th holes, dropped another shot on the 14th, and then found her rhythm with a birdie on the 18th. She added four more birdies on the second, third, sixth and eighth holes to secure her lead.
Alessandra Fanali from Italy and Luna Sobron Galmes from Spain are just one shot behind Wikstrom, both standing at 9-under-par.
England's Annabel Dimmock and Switzerland's Chiara Tamburlini are in a tie for fourth place, each at 8-under-par.
Four players share the sixth position at 7-under-par: Pauline Roussin-Bouchard from France, Kirsten Rudgeley from Australia and Swedish golfers Moa Folke and Corinne Viden.
Weather conditions included a 30-minute delay in tee times due to early morning fog, impacting the start of the rounds. Despite this, the competition proceeded smoothly for the leading golfers.
