As
Jr NTR gears up for the release of 'Devara: Part 1', the actor shared insights on his experience working with
Hrithik Roshan and director Ayan Mukerji on the spy film 'War 2'.
While promoting his upcoming film, Jr NTR discussed a creative difference that arose with Mukerji, which shed light on their contrasting approach to filmmaking.
Known for his instinctive acting style, Jr NTR explained in a conversation with Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar that he often thrives in the spontaneous, high-energy atmosphere found on South Indian film sets, where last-minute decisions and chaotic yet organized processes are common.
This method of working clashed with Mukerji’s preference for meticulous planning and preparation. The actor revealed that while the director likes to thoroughly prep scenes, he relies heavily on improvisation and believes in developing performances on the spot.
The clash between their working styles created a unique dynamic on the set of 'War 2'. Jr NTR acknowledged that his approach, where he draws on instinct rather than rehearsals, sometimes left Mukerji feeling uncertain. However, with producer Aditya Chopra mediating between the two, they found a way to balance the two.
Despite this difference, Jr NTR emphasized that the collaboration was ultimately positive, and the experience pushed both him and Ayan out of their comfort zones. The actor credited this creative tension for helping him deliver an authentic performance.
'War 2', one of the most highly anticipated films of 2025, is set for release on Independence Day.
