'Drunk' police constable crashes vehicle in viral video on NH-9 in Ghaziabad

GHAZIABAD: A video has gone viral on social media platforms, showing a drunk police constable from Ghaziabad crashing his vehicle into a divider in the Vijay Nagar area on NH-9 on Tuesday.
After the crash, a 24-year-old woman, who was partially clothed, was seen getting out of the vehicle.
The incident has attracted significant attention online, with many people questioning the behaviour of the police officer.

Local authorities have started an investigation to find out what led to the crash and why the young woman was in the constable's car.
According to DCP of City, Rajesh Kumar, the constable has been identified as Pankaj Gaur, who is currently deployed at City zone police from police line. "The woman was his friend and they had known each other for the last three years, when the HC was deployed to Khora police station," he said.
"The medical of both persons has been done while Pankaj has been suspended with immediate effect," the DCP added.
Another video has also gone viral on social media, showing a youth performing a stunt using a govt vehicle on Tuesday.
A 10-second video in which a youth was seen coming out from the window adjacent to the driver seat of a Bolero vehicle. While blue light on the vehicle is also functional along with horn and Uttar Pradesh Govt was also written on the vehicle. The video was recorded in Vijay Nagar on NH-9 on Tuesday evening.
DCP said that after getting the video, police have issued a challan of Rs 25,000. During investigation, we found that the vehicle was attached with district administration and it was used by Sadar Naib Tehsildar of GDA.
“Initial investigation revealed that Rajkumar Sharma, driver of the vehicle, had parked his car near his house. Later, his son Ashu Sharma had taken the vehicle for a run on NH-9 along with his friend Priyansh. We have booked them under relevant sections of MV act,” he said.
