Isuzu Motor India has launched a new variant of the D-Max pickup in the Indian market. The latest variant is called 1.7 Cab Chassis Standard and is priced at Rs 9,99,990 (ex-showroom). The bookings for the new D-Max chassis variant are underway and deliveries will begin from this month's end.
The new Isuzu D-Max cab-chassis variant will be applicable for those with businesses of FMCG, perishables, food and catering, last-mile delivery and much more.
Customers can construct their load-bodies based on their business requirements. In terms of design, the D-Max cab chassis looks very similar to other models and gets a blacked out bumper with a black grille. Other highlights include halogen reflector headlights, basic steel wheels, fog lamp covers and much more.
The company says that the new D-Max cab-chassis variant gets best-in-class occupant safety with front and rear crumple zones, cross car front beam, door side intrusion, collapsible steering column and underbody steel protection for the drivetrain. The D-MAX range also gets brake override system which cuts power to the engine in case of panic braking.

Talking about the engine and gearbox, the cab gets a 2.5-litre 4JA1 turbo diesel which puts out 78 hp at 3,800 rpm and 176 Nm of torque between 1,500-2,400 rpm. Moving inside, it gets fabric upholstery, height adjustable seat belts, semi digital cluster, gear shift indicator and much more.
